RIP Micheals: “Wild ‘N On Tour”

By |July 20th, 2016|
Chicago native Mr. RIP Micheals, has graced the stage and TV screen with the likes of several well-known actors and comedians such as Martin Lawrence, Cedric the Entertainer, Kevin Hart, and Mo’Nique, to name a few. Mr. Micheals, has graced many networks such as VH1, BET, MTV, NBC, Oxygen and Showtime with his comedic stand and voiceover talents. RIP Micheals most recent project recently aired on June 28, 2016, alongside the multi-talented Nick Cannon, as part of the cast for the hilarious Wild ‘n On Tour series.RipMichaelsMr. Micheals, how and when did you know you wanted to join the entertainment industry as a comedian?I’ve been doing comedy since I was 13 years old, and my turning point was when my teacher told me that if you’re going to act like a fool at least get paid for it. This has always been my dream, I moved to New York and did my first movie with Christina Millian and it just took off from there. What is the experience like performing with individuals such as Kevin Hart, Cedric the Entertainer, Monique and Nick Cannon, just to name a few? It’s been surreal! It’s been a real experience from writing for Anthony Anderson, and working with Randy Jackson and writing for him. I’ve done Comic View, The Bad Boys of Comedy, Centric Comedy All-Stars, it’s been a great ride and a great journey and the entire time my daughter has been there with me, my cheerleader, pushing and motivating me to be even better. Meeting with Nick Cannon was a dream come true, when Wild ‘N Out first aired, he was in LA and I was in New York, and as a father I couldn’t just move to LA, so when it was finally brought to New York it was a blessing to be able to be involved with it. Working with Nick Cannon as an artist, I don’t believe people understand that Nick Cannon has helped more people int he industry that is told about working with Wild ‘N Out, which is like an alumni, where so many got their start, Kevin Hart, Mike Epps and Kat Williams started there. Nick, captivates talent, he allows me to be myself, he allows me to do jokes that probably would have gotten me kicked off TV.You were just on tour with Nick Cannon and an amazing cast for the MTV’s Wild ‘N On Tour, that aired June 28, 2016, how did that come about and how did it feel to know that you were going be part of the tour?Screen-shot-2015-10-07-at-11.01.57-AMNick personally picked who he wanted and who would be a great match to have on the tour. He chose DC Young Fly, Chico Bean, Conceited, Hitman Holla and Matt Rife, so he assembles the best of the best and put us on the road. He wanted those who can do stand up, think on their feet, play the game and great at improv, so you have to have all those talents to be on the actual television show. Wild ‘N On Tour on MTV2 every Tuesday 11/10cWhat can we expect for the upcoming episodes from you and the guys? I have a show coming up called, Off The RIP, with reality, internet and music stars we’re doing stand-up comedy, sketches and I also do another show called Yo Money Yo Mouth is like a rap battle version of Yo Mama where you have to put your money up and see who can win. It’s not about being the best rapper but who can have the most confidence in yourself, these are both shows that I produced and I am on both to watch out for coming in the fall and in the winter. How can others continue to follow you? It’s actually RIP Mike Heals, because my mother always told me that I have the ability to make people laugh no matter what they were going through, I would heal their pain with my comedy.  If I can make them forget 10 seconds or 10 minutes of their life, then I feel like I’ve done my job.Follow me on social media Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
